Vivo Systems was, and still is a web design company but we have always wanted to step into the world of software engineering and why not start with AndroidTM? AndroidTM provides a familiar syntax to many software developers as it is based on Sun Microsystems Java but rather than use the Java VM, Google and the Open Handset Alliance have created their own, called Dalvik, which is optimised for mobile devices. Google have provided a plug-in for a commonly used and freely available IDE called Eclipse and an AndroidTM SDK. With all this in mind, we decided to go for it.
Vivo Systems is developing AndroidTM applications to help people with their lives. Some of the applications which will be written will support our core businesses applications, others will be for entertainment, lifestyle and so fourth.
Outwalk allows you to track where you've been. It will tell you how far you've travelled, how long the journey took, your average speed all displayed on a map (if you wish) and more. Please click through for more information.
Relief is a AndroidTM application in the early stages of development, so at the moment we're going to keep the details quiet. But as soon as the application is near completion more information will be posted.
All our applications will be available through the AndroidTM Market at minimum expense. We will also be available for questions, queries and problems via e-mail at android@vivosystems.co.uk, we will also be creating a forum in the near future.
